About you
The Head of Process Excellence is responsible for the enterprise process management capability, including process governance, process design and process optimisation. The role will establish and maintain the enterprise process framework and repository, and lead the identification and delivery of process improvement, digitisation and automation opportunities.
The role is accountable for overseeing the definition of target-state business processes for major transformation initiatives, including a multi-year ERP implementation. This includes overseeing process design and requirements definition to ensure processes are ready for system configuration and adoption.
Working closely with the Director Enterprise Systems and Head of AI, the role ensures business processes effectively leverage enterprise systems, automation and AI-enabled capabilities. The role also establishes process measures and performance standards to support prioritisation, continuous improvement and operational effectiveness.
Process Governance and Standards
• Establish and maintain the enterprise process framework.
• Maintain the enterprise process repository and ensure critical business processes are documented and current.
• Drive process simplification, standardisation and optimisation to improve customer experience, employee experience, operational efficiency and reduce operational risk.
Enterprise Systems Transformation
• Provide strategic leadership of the business process workstream of an ERP implementation covering Finance, Procurement, Human Resources and Payroll.
• Lead a team of process specialists and analysts to develop target-state business processes and associated business requirements.
• Partner with the Director Enterprise Systems to ensure process requirements and business outcomes are effectively reflected in enterprise platform design and configuration.
Process Improvement and Automation
• Develop and maintain the enterprise process improvement and automation roadmap.
• Work closely with the Head of AI to ensure business processes are designed to effectively utilise automation and AI technologies.
Qualifications & Skills
- 10+ years experience
- Tertiary qualifications in business, technology, data or related discipline.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams responsible for business process design, business analysis, requirements definition, testing and enterprise transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing process governance frameworks, standards and methodologies.
- Experience leading process workstreams for major transformation initiatives, including ERP.
- Experience managing and developing teams responsible for business analysis, process design, requirements definition and testing.
- Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders to achieve organisational outcomes.
- Experience identifying and implementing digitisation, workflow and automation opportunities.
- Strong process design, process optimisation and operational improvement capability.
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Ability to operate effectively across business, technology and transformation teams.
