Position description
The Lending Operations Officer is responsible for delivering the operational and administrative activity that supports the Export Finance Australia customer portfolio (working across SME and Project & Structured Finance). They are the first point of call to resolve operational and process issues across a range of lending matters.
Your new role
Location: Sydney
Role Type: Full-time, 12 month contract
- Administer the technology system to deliver operational activity, tracking customer activity and provision of documentation, entering data into the system, and extracting information to compile reports.
- Complete reconciliations of customer payments, conduct analysis of payment flows and work closely with the Finance team.
- Undertake basic credit assessment activity to support the credit analysts and Export Finance Australia business channels, including customer diary management, covenant monitoring, drawdowns, bond issuance, documentation updates and limit management.
- Analyse data, compile reports and deliver to business areas as required.
- Interact with customers, in collaboration with credit analysts and business channels, for specific requests such as documentation, additional information required from customers.
- Follow operational processes, assess the efficiency of processes, and identify improvements.
About you

At least 4-5 years of lending operations experience, ideally across SME and Project and Structured Finance

Experience supporting loan administration across various finance products

Strong familiarision of loan documentation.

Strong administrative skills, high attention to detail and a focus on efficient, consistent delivery.

Understanding of the credit assessment processes, demonstrates basic credit assessment skills and an understanding of documentation requirements associated with transactions.

Understanding of how systems and technology work and can be optimised to ensure efficient and compliant delivery of operational processes.

Understanding of data, how it can be used to provide insights and drive improvements. Ability to extract data to produce meaningful reports.
