The Lending Operations Officer is responsible for delivering the operational activity that supports the EFA customer portfolio. Working across Business Finance and Institutional, this role is the first point of call to resolve a range of lending matters, such as assessing financial data, security positions, and risk exposure to make informed credit decisions.

About you

  • Process high volume of drawdowns in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to approved terms by reviewing POs/invoices, facility terms, exposure limits, drawdown CPs, payment history and covenant requirements.
  • Work closely with Finance to reconcile payments from customers and agencies for syndicate facilities, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in system.
  • Manage bond exposure spreadsheets for bond facilities, provide accurate and timely updates to account managers and analysts.
  • Work closely with Treasury to oversee bond cash security management and interest calculations, ensuring accuracy during cash book movements such as allocation for new bonds and release for matured bonds.
  • Interact with customers, in collaboration with Account Managers and business channels, for specific requests such as documentation, additional information required from customers.
  • Prepare and submit credit memos for bond cash security release and bank annual reviews.
  • Prepare and submit change requests for Finance to update facility details in the system based on signed documents and credit approvals.
  • Review month-end exposure reports with account managers, collaborating with Finance on necessary adjustments to maintain data accuracy.
  • Compile monthly credit rating reports for Portfolio Management primarily for S&P, with some inclusion of Fitch and Moody’s ratings.

Experience & Skills

  • At least 4-5 years of lending operations experience, ideally across SME and Project and Structured Finance
  • Experience supporting loan administration across various finance products
  • Strong familiarision of loan documentation.
  • Understanding of the credit assessment processes, demonstrates basic credit assessment skills and an understanding of documentation requirements associated with transactions.
